Now hiring — Salisbury, NC

We're looking for good techs.
Maybe that's you.

Yoder Automotive is a repair shop in Salisbury, NC. We do honest work, take care of our customers, and run a tight operation. We have two open positions right now — one for an experienced technician, one for someone ready to learn. If you show up, do the work, and take pride in what you do, we want to hear from you.

A Tech

Automotive Technician

Full-time  ·  Salisbury, NC  ·  Competitive flat rate or hourly

You've been doing this long enough to know the difference between a good shop and a bad one. We're the good kind. You'll work on a variety of makes and models, handle real diagnostics, and be trusted to do the job right without someone looking over your shoulder. We invest in the right equipment and we back our techs.

What you'll be doing

  • Full-service diagnostics and repair — engine, transmission, electrical, brakes, suspension, HVAC

  • Using our digital vehicle inspection process to document findings and communicate with customers

  • Working alongside a shop team that communicates and keeps the bays moving

  • Taking ownership of your work from write-up to vehicle delivery

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of experience as a working technician

  • ASE certifications preferred — not required if your experience speaks for itself

  • Own tool set

  • Strong diagnostic skills, especially electrical and engine performance

  • Someone who takes the work seriously and treats the customer's car with respect

What you'll get

  • Competitive flat rate or hourly — we'll talk numbers and make it worth your while

  • A shop that's organized, professional, and growing

  • Consistent car count — we stay busy

  • A team that communicates and doesn't leave you hanging

Lube Tech

Lube Technician

Full-time  ·  Salisbury, NC  ·  Hourly, based on experience

You don't need five years under your belt to apply for this one — you need the right attitude. If you're mechanically inclined, reliable, and looking to build a real career in the trades, this is a legitimate place to start. We'll train you on our process. You'll be expected to pay attention, ask good questions, and work hard.

What you'll be doing

  • Oil and filter changes, tire rotations, and fluid top-offs

  • Multi-point vehicle inspections using our digital inspection system

  • Tire mounting, balancing, and TPMS service

  • Keeping the shop clean, organized, and running on time

  • Assisting technicians and learning as you go

What we're looking for

  • Basic mechanical understanding — you know your way around a vehicle

  • Dependable — you show up, on time, ready to work

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Valid driver's license

  • Previous shop experience is a plus, not a requirement

What you'll get

  • Hourly pay with room to grow as your skills develop

  • Real on-the-job training in a professional shop environment

  • A path forward — we promote from within when we can

  • A team worth working with
